As a self-taught craftsman, I am committed to honing my skills, using sustainable materials, and offering personalized care to help climbers get back on the rock—faster, longer, and with confidence.

Jonathan Young (Founder)

I’m a self-taught craftsman and passionate climber who learned the art of climbing shoe resoling to provide an affordable, fast, and reliable alternative to buying new gear. After teaching myself specialized skills in areas like badminton stringing and web development, I applied that same approach to learning in repairing climbing shoes, focusing on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

At beta-break, I prioritize quick turnaround times without compromising on quality, ensuring that climbers in my local community can get back to what they love, climbing! Whether it’s a simple resole or a more extensive fix, I’m here to help keep your gear in top shape at a price that won’t break the bank.
